Greven/ Münster, 18 December 2021 – Happy news just in time for the festive season: Fiege is to remain the main sponsor of the regional league’s football club, SC Preußen Münster. The contract, originally set to expire in summer of 2022, was renewed early until 30 June 2024 regardless of the club’s league affiliation. “We are so impassioned about working with the club and the team that we renewed the contract early for a further two years”, says Martin Rademaker, member of the board of the Fiege Group. “We have the feeling that something great is happening and growing at SCP at the moment, not just in terms of sports – and we wish to be a part of that for a little longer.”
Christoph Strässer, President of SC Preußen Münster, explains: “When signing the contract in summer 2020, I cited a quote from Casablanca when I said: ‘I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.’ Today I can say with pride that in fact, this is precisely what has happened. Our expectations have even been greatly surpassed. Working with Fiege has been a real stroke of luck for the club, the fans, and hopefully also for our main sponsor.” When the partnership first started, the motto was intentionally chosen to encompass a regional focus. It was filled with life through many joint projects, Strässer says. He is therefore extremely pleased “that this shared path is set to continue”.
Peter Niemeyer is equally thrilled about the further partnership with the Greven family business: “Over the past one and a half years, a wonderful partnership has evolved which goes far beyond genuine sponsorship”, says the Sports Director of the SCP. “We have grown into a genuine community. The fact that Fiege now decided to commit to a further renewal early underlines that we are on the right track as a regional football family. SC Preußen Münster represents values that our fans, our members, and our sponsors can identify with. Backed by this knowledge and a partner such as Fiege we are in a good position to tackle the future.”
