At Zamoyski Palace in Warsaw is where Fiege held a gala celebrating 20 years in the business in Poland.

New location to be opened in western Poland

Warsaw, 4th January 2018. For over 20 years, Fiege has been providing supply chain services in and for the Polish market. Starting with only a handful of employees at a single location, Fiege has become one of the most important logistics companies in Poland today, operating in fields such as eCommerce, Tires, Fashion, Pharmaceuticals and Consumer Goods. A few weeks ago, Fiege Poland celebrated 20 years in the business together with strategic partners, customers and employees in Warsaw.

“When I look at the business operations of Fiege in Poland today, it is difficult to imagine where and how it all started. I admire the vision, the passion and the dedication, as well as the patience shown by the company owners as well as by my colleagues”, said Piotr Kohmann, managing director Fiege Eastern Europe, during the gala event held in Warsaw for 120 invitees. The guest list naturally also included Jens Fiege and Felix Fiege from the Executive Board of the FIEGE Group.

“We started out with an old-fashion warehouse in Odrzywołek, which is situated 50 kilometres south of Warsaw, with seven employees only”, recalls Jens Fiege. “Our headcount today is 1600 at our 15 locations and we are a leading logistics company in Poland.” Fiege currently runs a total seven transhipment centres and eight local branches with roughly 350,000 square metres of logistics space in Poland. And further growth is imminent: Fiege is about to open a new logistics centre in Zielona Góra, in western Poland. With an employee count of roughly 300 people, the location will process returns for eCommerce customers.
